Etienne produces a confidential amount of rosé each year using Pinot Noir from Vertus, blended with a selection of base wine from L’Echapée Belle. Etienne’s goal is to create a pale-hued rosé reminiscent of the Blanc de Blancs house style.

Vinification

This wine is vinified as a 'rosé d’assemblage,' meaning that the Pinot Noir is blended into the base wine before secondary fermentation in bottle. The same base wine that is used for L'Echappée Belle is used here.

ElevageAged on fine lees for 7 months before racking. 15% of the wine is aged in used barrels, not cold-stabilized. Aged 18-24 months on the lees prior to disgorgement.
