Champs Rayés
Champagne Piollot

Type
Sparkling Wine
Appellation
Champagne
Variety
100% Chardonnay
Champs Rayés means 'Striped Field,' and the name refers to the two different colored veins of marl that run through the vineyard, which give it a striped look. These vines are located in the nearby town of Noé-les-Mallets, which is especially known for producing great Chardonnay. The wine is aged in oak barrels and then kept on the lees for six years prior to release, and like all the Champagnes from Piollot, it’s disgorged non-dosé.
