Côtes du Jura Savagnin Naturé Ouillé
Les Pieds sur Terre
Type
White Wine
Appellation
Cotes du Jura
Variety
Savagnin
This Savagnin comes from the Les Trouillots vineyard, which was planted by Valentin's father in the 1980s. Like all of the other natural wines from Les Pieds sur Terre, this Savagnin is fermented with native yeasts and little to no SO2 (zero additions). The term 'Naturé' in Poligny refers to all wines that are ouillé, or topped up while they age in barrel. It's not at all a reference to natural wine and is simply a local term used to signify that a wine is not made in the traditional oxidative style of the Jura.
