An homage cuvée named after Jean-Bernard’s grandfather, Auguste’s maceration time can extend to twelve days and age on lees for up to two years. The bottle unveils spicy and fruity notes, as well as unbroken practices handed down from one generation to the next.

Jasnières: clay, limestone, and flint over chalky tuffeau. Sprinklings of microcrystalline quartz.

Vine ageMajority of domaine vines planted in 1903. Vine age varies by parcel; plantings date to 1903, 1933, 1947, and 1984.

Vinification

Hand-harvested with two sortings: one in the vineyard and one in the cellar. Whole and destemmed grapes (some vats 100% whole bunches) are layered into a millefeuille structure and macerated for 9-12 days. Matured on fine lees for 12-24 months in 500L oak barrels.
