Raphael writes: "Robert is the name of the vineyards' previous owner. He was a winemaker who helped us in Les Blémonts back then, and sold us his vines in 2017. Just before signing the sale, he suddenly passed away from a heart attack; ultimately his wife sold us the vines under the same agreements we had with Robert. As an homage, the first cuvée released from these parcels was named Chénas 'Robert', and the name has stuck ever since!"
