Type

White Wine

Appellation

Touraine Azay le Rideau

Variety

Chenin Blanc

It's not easy to find a great value, reliably delicious and organic Chenin Blanc. Producing such an elusive goal was part of the inspiration of Domaine des Hauts Baigneux from the start. While their better known neighbor has gravitated towards industrial winemaking for the hypermarchés of France, the great terroir of Azay-le-Rideau remained largely unknown, which presented an incredibly opportunity to acquire and produce excellent wines and reasonable prices. Les Chênes comes from a blend of various parcels around the Azay le Rideau appellation in Cheillé and Vallère. This area is a phenomenal value for a terroir-driven hand-crafted Chenin Blanc.
