Agarrus

Serge Scherrer - Agarrus Blanc
Type

White Wine

Appellation

Vin de France

Variety

Grenache Blanc

"Serge likes to change the subject each time this wine comes up. He doesn't produce much white, and because he lives in a region known for red wines and hot summers, there is a local clamor from May to September for all the good white wines around. This bottling of Grenache Blanc surpasses all expectations, and so like the rarely seen Agarrus Rosé, it's natural habitat is in Uzès and the nearby villages. The name means ""The Stork and ...." Many a Frenchman would fill in the blank with 'the fox' after the famous fable from La Fontaine, but Serge leaves the choice up to you...
