Château de Montfrin
Aurore & Jean-René de Fleurieu
The Château de Montfrin has been an important site for centuries, as it has always played host to travelers and statesmen alike, including Saint Francis of Assisi, Saint-Louis, Louis XIII, and Molière. In the late 1990s, after working in fashion and cinema, Jean-René de Fleurieu returned to Montfrin and planted 200 hectares of vineyards and olive orchards. Since its inception, everything at the château has been farmed organically, in keeping with Jean-René’s vision to produce high-quality organic wines and olive oils at excellent prices.
