The premier cru Les Champaux is located at the north end of the village, high up on the slope. It's a rich, ample wine with soft but present tannins and good structure. The label is different from all of the other wines, and comes inspired by an old label from the 1950s that Alain found in a furniture cabinet. At the time, Les Champaux was his only 1er cru, so he decided to revive this old label as a way pay homage to the older winemakers, as well as to set apart this cuvée from his others.
