Eric & Jean-Luc produce two different cuvées from their 30 different small plots in Gevrey-Chambertin. Mes Favorites is their old vine blend, produced from vines that average 75 years of age. Mes Favorites is the principal wine at the domaine and was named by Alain Burguet when he first created the estate in the 1970s. Because he had so many tiny parcels, he wasn't able to create any single vineyard wines at the time, but of course, like children, they were all his favorites, and the name of this cuvée was born. This wine embodies the Burguet style: rich, lushly textured, and immediately delicious, but able to improve in the cellar for years.
